Quality Vs Quantity - What matters most? Quality low views or Quantity in videos views
In the short term quantity wins. As in today right now, a potential viewer will be more attracted to watching a video with 3,000 views as opposed to watching a carbon copy video with 3 views.
It's true that social proof is a real factor in marketing. However if you want to get views on YouTube that turn to actual money in your bank account for the long term (2 - 3 years or more), you need to focus quality.
Slow down... I am not the one. I am not the holier than thou type of marketer. In building my own channel, I had been tempted a few times to buy views in quantity in order to look good.
I always resolved to staying focused on quality once I do proper analysis and review of the YouTube channels that I model. Yes, others have gotten 1 million YouTube views and at press time, my channel only has 20,620 views.
Here is a good reason why. My channel is only 1 year old while this other channels are a lot older. Sometimes, it's as simple has the brand behind it paying their dues already one way or the other. Quality wins in the long term
So I do not recommend buying views for a channel that you care about building as authority and brand. The way I recommend for you to play the quantity game in getting views is to create and publish quality videos consistently.
Do it consistently for 100 pieces of content. Check the data and analytic to see what topics and types of videos are performing best for you. Then focus on duplicating the best performing contents.
If you want to build a viable business online in both short and long term, you need to win at the game of quality and quantity. How you go about quantity is however very important.
Don't buy fake robot 10 seconds views. It will mess up your watch time and therefore interfere with organic growth and visibility from YouTube's algorithm.
Instead, create consistent search engine optimized pieces of video content perpetually. Yes! Leverage SEO in your videos. It's worth every second of time you use because each piece of content you create and publish will continue to work for a long time.
It's also okay to advertise your video via Google Adwords because your ad would be targeting a target market group with specific needs if done right. However, you get better quality views for free through search and suggested videos for free when your videos are optimized.
In addition to that, you can expect your video and channel views to grow exponentially over the next 100 videos. In other words, it may seem slow in the beginning but growth acceleration is inevitable with consistency in time.
